Paul has practiced law since 1978, as a partner, and, more recently, as a sole practitioner in his own law firm. Paul has acquired a great deal of experience in commercial law, particularly in the area of commercial agreements and commercial loan and security documents. Paul is quite knowledgeable on key acts of legislation including the Personal Property Security Act, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Income Tax Act (Canada).

During a previous certification program offered by the Law Society of Upper Canada, Paul was certified as a specialist in Civil Litigation. He has provided counsel and represented clients on matters at all levels of courts in Ontario. He has participated in numerous trials, out of court examinations, and motions, including jury trials. He acted as a Seminar Leader of the Civil Litigation Section, Bar Admission Course, for several years.

Paul has developed strong leadership, management and problem solving skills from operating his own firm. He is highly motivated to provide clients with excellent quality service resulting in a high level of client satisfaction, retention and referral.

Paul has a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. He is currently enrolled at Osgoode Hall Law School pursuing his second Master of Laws degree, specializing in criminal law.

Paul has actively participated in community endeavors. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Oakville since 1979, and was President from 1985-86. He served the Sleeping Children Around the World organization, dedicating his own time for three trips to South Asia supervising the distribution of bed kits for disadvantaged children. He has been active within his church, frequently volunteering to visit hospital patients, and shut-in members of the community.

As an avid sports fan, Paul continuously cheers on all his favorite professional Toronto teams. He is an active cyclist, in 2019 completing day rides of 200km (3), 275km and 300km.
